In Memory of Colton
COLTON BORRELLI
Colton Borrelli was born in 2010 in Sault Ste. Marie, ON to his loving parents Jessica and Antonio Borrelli.
Colton is incredibly social and loves to get out of the house, no matter where he's going. His favourite place to go is school so he can interact with other kids, his EA, teachers and staff. During the winter, he likes being taken out for a skate on a rink in his trailer. And in the summer months, he loves going camping where he goes kayaking and for lots of bike rides.
He loves music and will listen to everything from opera to metal. He also likes any toy that will sing him a song, especially if they are cars and trucks.
Colton has a great support team in place and is always working on getting stronger using his stander and getting himself around with his gait trainer. He's also always working on improving his motor skills, using spoons and manipulating puzzles and blocks.
“When we finally received a diagnosis, the biggest thing for us was knowing other people out there were dealing with something similar. The condition is so new that there aren't necessarily any answers, but we’ve been able to connect with other families through Facebook and through the TBCK Foundation,” said Jessica Borrelli, Colton’s mom. “It was almost a relief to know that there were others out there. Even if it’s just someone to talk to who actually understands what we’re going through.” Jessica is first to say he is the “happiest kid on the planet” and thinks “everything is hysterical.”
