Freya’s Story
Freya
(02.08.15 – 17.10.21)
Freya was born under normal circumstances with normal Apgar score. Shortly after her birth we noticed her decreasing muscle tone. At 6 months she had her first epileptic seizure.
Freya was, like pretty much all TBCK warriors, always in good mood and with lots of smiles, laughs and talk (although being non-verbal). She loved music and played along with e.g. a “rhythm egg” as shown in the picture. She also loved food, such as sweet deserts and Indian spicy food.
Fun fact: she had the cutest laugh, and, for some reason, found it hilarious when people sneezed or coughed. Once at the hospital, she almost laughed her head off when passing the section for lung diseases.
Freya was admitted to hospital countless times (going by ambulance) with status epilepticus, but had been seizure free for almost a year when she was struck by a double-sided lung infection, also collapsing her one lung. Freya took her last breath Sunday 17th October 2021.
Everyone who met her, instantly loved her. She was so lovely, mild and fun, and she will be missed so terribly by us all.
Freya’s epitaph: Forever loved and missed
